had to design an evening wear look, a casual date look, and a business formal look. all challenge parameters was that the majority of the outfit had to be red
descriptions:
evening: long sleeve full length gown, with the bottom portion as silk chiffon (i love me a good see through gown) and the sleeves/top portion all lace, with the back all lace too (a teensy bit of the sides are shown...got those side boobs!), accessorized with a plain pair of black platform pumps that won't upstage the gown, color chosen is oxblood red (which was super hot last season)
business: i didnt want to go the stereotypical "pants suit" look, so i designed a plain white button up blouse (no collar) that's sheer up on the top portion above the boobs (collar bones and everything), a red double buttoned vest with lapels, and a unique pencil skirt that has leather panels on the side and lace detailing on front. feminine but also powerful, but not overdone/inappropriate for work. grey pointy power pumps complete the look. color is queen of hearts red.
date: wanted a flirty fun, so i designed a simple a-line dress with the same button detailing as the business look and the same neckline as the evening gown. i managed "fun" by adding cool shoulder cut-outs and on the bodice the sides are lace paneled. hot pink lace up pumps complete the look. color is traditional red (the really bright bold one)
overall for this collection, i wanted to reflect some design elements across so it looks cohesive. like these would all belong in the closet of one gal.
i used some floral ornament motif brushes from green-eyed-butterfly, who unfortunately deactivated her account i noticed that if i layer each ornament on top of each other, i can create a lace-like image instead of using lace brushes because my problem with lace brushes is that you can always see the seam lines and they don't move in the direction of the body.
thank you! i personally struggled with the business one, i felt that i couldnt do a red business look without it being too obnoxious for the real world, so im glad you liked it
and thanks
