OK so description time!
1) Err, my emotion is wrath or if you don't like that extreme, anger. I chose this because after feeling sad and sorry at myself for not winning for a few days project runway challenge, i switched to being angry at everything. angry at myself for not being a better designer. angry at myself for doubting myself. angry at the world for doubting me. angry at everyone who said my dream was foolish.
2) I also chose red and black, because my mind somehow thought "dominatrix" and "christianity" and before you judge me, i first thought of how all my feelings were bundled inside me, restricting me before something just snapped (my losing), hence the "dominatrix" vibe, also "christianity" because "wrath" is one of the original 7 deadly sins (and i also just watched Dante's Inferno) so I wanted to incorporate these 2 inspirations into my design.
3) actual design description time! i wanted my design to represent the power of the feeling of wrath, and the dangerous quality of such emotion. so i incorporated the stereotypical "evil queen" collar (it's high in back), a severe front bodice cut, spikes running down the sleeves. The collar is connected to the outfit via a leather harness. There are sheer details on the sides that flow down the back as "tails" (think tailcoat) which are instead of leather (like the rest of the outfit) is chiffon which represents the actual craziness of wrath when expressed (also the coloring of this part is much like fire). The pants (also leather) feature an X detail (leather again) which is also bondage like, following a fishnet portion which cuts up the pant. This represents being broken down to the point a person is driven to wrath (no one is ever angry without reason). The shoes add to the power feel of the whole outfit. Also, an additional face piece that is supposed to look like wounds.
A little dark, yeah i know, but i feel much better after designing my feels oh and if you're wondering what this is categorized as, maybe haute couture/avant garde. something lady gaga would wear in a music video ^^
