Haha, fitting, since
just alerted me that this deviation: mizzsamantha.deviantart.com/ar…
STILL exists in the DeviantArt community. What's wrong with it? Well for starters, these designs are direct LINE TRACINGS of Versace's sketches, and the deviant goes as far to suggest to not "reproduce without permission" BULL SH****T!!!!! AND she even goes as far to say "which one should i make first" excuse me honey, but THEYVE ALREADY BEEN MADE. BY A REAL FASHION COMPANY. the comments? even worse
"There is no way you copied these. It REALLY makes me mad that someone had to go look that up. These are gorgeous, and no SIMILAR design by some stupid designer can change that."
Yes, Versace is a stupid designer, and yes, the "similar" (cough cough line tracings)
I am so DISGUSTED RIGHT NOW I WANT TO BARF like actually. i feel physically sick to the stomach.
there are VERY few comments with people who are like hey btdubs this is actually versace's designs, just to let you know (by the way, a big shout out to everyone who helped me in this fight)
I know I'm making a really big deal out of this, but it just SICKENS me that someone can just copy someone else's work and get that much recognition. The deviation has almost 30,000 views, and the only deviation *ive* ever gotten that many views took me a WHOLE MONTH and SLEEPLESS nights to create.
uh huh. just. no.
Alright I'm done. Enjoy Disgust (which is what i feel)
Quick deets since I'm so emotionally exhausted. I'm doing an emotion series that will conclude in 3 days, partially inspired by
's last challenge; the emotions I chose are identified by the psychologist Ekman who studied emotions and their relation to the human expression.
The theme for this one is Plague (more specifically Black Death); I styled her like a Nun (the hood=habit, the raised collar); the dress is draped with buckles, the edges are torn and ripped (=decay), the under dress layer is shredded as well; accessories are shoes with dead plants and a bird mask (during the Black Death, doctors wore bird masks stuffed with herbs so that the smell of decaying flesh wouldn't bother them). Why a nun you ask? Because after the Black Death, all the doctors and clergymen that remained were the corrupt ones, because the good ones died trying to help victims.
