last one! there are NO MORE natural disasters (i am NOT doing meteorite shower, solar flares, apocalypse...im keeping things to this planet and by mother nature only)
BUT i *will* have a special one (plague) for my concept-director
who consults me on color, silhouette, details, etc... as well as does research for each of these looks to understand their concept/ "philosophy" if you have any questions about my jank descriptions, ask her!
first one is sandstorm (or dust storm, depends on where you are) this one was easy, after looking at some pictures, sandstorms/dust storms are strangely opaque yet blinding at the same time, and they kind of move in a circular fashion (the front of the storm is rounded). I wanted a bodysuit that were overlayed with gathered layers of tulle fabric (and since they vary in length, there is an "ombre"/ "gradient" effect through how see-through the gown is). The top is supposed to look like it's suffocating (the real structure is not, tulle is very breathable and very light) since that's what sandstorms/dust storms have this effect. The silhouette is like a princess (the shoes are actually a nude-gilded finish) "becuase sandstorms show up often and always get their way and people get out of the way for them in fact, the "run and hide until it blows over" (
's words) which is how people usually react to royalty XD
second one is drought. the silhouette is as minimalistic as possible, since droughts basically suck the life out of everything really. I decided to opt for a super tight jumpsuit that has a digital print of drought texture. the bust line is asymmetrical, and on one shoulder is "dead crops" accessories include a cow-skull belt made up of "bones" (most likely not real), a tumbleweed necklace (because
was like TUMBLEWEEDS) shoes are also tumbleweeded plus some "fishbones" (dried lakes=dead fishes)
wanted me to make one leg shorter than the other as if some of the earth "broke off" what do you think?
last one is earthquake. the different sections of brown that's draped over a nude base represents plate-tectonics (which leads to earthquakes). on top of this (not printed on) are the "cracks" in the earth that actually go onto the nude base as well as onto the skin (mostly for structural support) there's a half collar piece, a lower draped shoulder bit, a higher double layered shoulder bit on the other arm, a peplum drape on one hip, and a drop-waist bit on the opposite side. back is uneven (naturally) and the cracks continue to the back as well. the shoes are patent black with rock texture detailing (same texture as bodice in my rock slide look)
thats it! PHEW stay tuned for the composite image! leave me feedback i love comments
