er, coz im really trying super hard to do romantic style couture gowns...and failing (note to self, spikes are NOT very romantic style). why do i suck?!?! ARGHH

details: spiked leather shoulder, lace detailing, thousands of yards of tulle, beaded bodice. and if i was any more ambitious, i would do tiny petals on the skirt.

i LOVE feedback, so please comment (but dont be mean, i dont take negativity too well. aka cry in a corner)

my designs belong to me and may not be used in any way without my permission

edit:
for other designs from this series

and the grand finale:

this is really amazing! the vision is awesome and the dress would actually work in irl, and be both romantic, elegant and cool as hell in one go. not an easy thing to achieve!
also you caught the essence in the dress perfectly -a perfect presentational fashion drawing!!! could've been done by a pro! :)

hehe i was so bold as to assume ;)

...you're certainly talented enough to be, but your style is not so commercial. Which means either you have your own company, or work for one of the big couture houses (almost no companies buy single-freelance-styles anymomre). Either or, you wouldn't have time at all to sit and idle in here so much.
Also, since most fashion design starts off with moodboard/inspiration, then fabrics, and lastly style-design, and you kinda go the other way around is also a hint :)

...buuuut I might be mistaken :P

awww, im flattered <3 (though that comment about dilly dallying on deviantart...really made me smile)

it's kind of funny you say im not commercial, ive always thought that i wasnt artsy enough and too commercial ;P

and im self-taught, so that probably explains why i dont do things the "normal" way, though i am relatively well-versed in fabrics, as well for moodboard/inspiration, i like this quote by chuck close "Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work." which is how i view things as well.

and you're right, im not a pro ^^; im a student, and i "study" business

Is that a transparent netting on her neck and arms? Love it! What do you use to colour ? I can't figure out sparkles :P

lace (it's hard to tell). my default program is photoshop, i drew out the sparkles (lol) it's pretty much little dark circles, and then i screen some areas using different shades.
